Originally from Baton Rouge, LA, Melanie was raised in Franklin, TN, and currently lives in NYC.

Melanie graduated from Louisiana State University with a BFA in Photography and minor in Art History in May of 2008. A Year after completing her undergrad, she attended Rocky Mountain School of Photography for their Summer and Advanced Intensive programs in Missoula, MT.

Currently in Manhattan, Melanie is working as a freelance photographer/videographer, as well as a teaching assistant for the International Center of Photography in their Teen Imagemakers program and the darkroom office.
